The alluring charm of The Corso Fiorito in Sanremo is a tradition that dates back to the dawn of floriculture and which is repeated on the wake of a growing success every year at February, with an extraordinary participation of public.

Flower Parade
The first parade dates back to 1904 and was named “Feast of the Goddess Flora”: in January of that year some carriages covered with flowers parade through the streets of the city, obtaining a great success.
In the post-war period, Sanremo was considered the “City of Flowers” for excellence and for this reason the manifestation of the flower floats has been repeating each year since that time.
Thousands of flowers of all kinds are used in the creation of beautiful floats arranged in a single night that parade through the streets of the city accompanied by bands, majorette and artists.
Each edition is distinguished by the originality of the theme chosen, for the creativity expressed in the representations and for the care of the compositions.

Flower float
Currently, floats of different cities of Ligurian west coast participate in the parade (Ospedaletti, Taggia, Bordighera …). A jury will award the float that best represents the theme of the year.
