This very elegant church was built during the Norman period being ornamented by wonderful XII century mosaics. It is called “dell’Ammiraglio” because it was wanted by the admiral (“Ammiraglio” in the Italian language) Giorgio d’Antiochia who gave it to the convent of Eloisa Martorana.
