This park covers a surface of 25.397 hectares extending from the Braies valley to Dobbiaco reaching also the Alta Badia.  Its wood is mostly made up by firs that are the ideal habitat for many animals like capercaillies, martens and foxes.

On the highest peaks it is possible to find the Alpine hare and the white partridge while among the most beautiful grasses you can admire here there surely is the famous edelweiss. Staying on the Braies lake rocks you can watch several ibexes and chamoises  that have found here their ideal environment.
